The following files represent animations produced processing the data retrieved from the DFDR of the MD-87 aircraft and other findings and data available from the investigation.

The animations show the dynamics of the accident from various viewpoints and in the actual visibility conditions existing at Linate airport at accident time; for a better understanding of the collision dynamics an optimum visibility condition has been added.

Such files (* .avi) numbered 1 – 5, can be viewed with commonly used viewers on any base line computer (images quality will depend from the video board installed).

Video 1 (9,2 MB) -Collision dynamics in optimum visibility conditions (CAVOK) representing the path of both aircrafts.

Video 2 (12,0 MB) -Collision dynamics in optimum visibility conditions (CAVOK) representing the take-off trajectory of the MD-87.

Video 3 (2,3 MB) -Same as number 1 but with reduced visibility (200 meters) showing on the lower scene the view from Cessna cockpit.

Video 4 (3,5 MB) -Same as number 2 in reduced visibility conditions (200 meters), showing the take-off trajectory of the MD-87.

Video 5 (6,9 MB) -Same as number 2 in reduced visibility conditions (200 meters), showing the take-off trajectory of the MD-87 viewed from the aircraft cockpit (With basic flight instruments).
